Nhan Dan Newspaper Innovation Day is an annual event organized since 2022 to review innovation initiatives across the organization while honoring projects and ideas with high practical value. Over the years, the program has increasingly affirmed its role as a platform connecting creative ideas and spreading the spirit of innovation in journalism as well as collaborative programs with businesses, partners, and the community.

Among these collaborative initiatives, the “Xây Tết” program stands out as one of the most representative community projects jointly implemented by Nhan Dan Newspaper and Coteccons, demonstrating a strong commitment to innovation tied to social responsibility and sustainable humanistic values. Beyond simply supporting workers during the Lunar New Year, “Xây Tết” has gradually evolved into a long-term initiative accompanying workers, particularly construction workers, environmental sanitation workers, and urban drainage personnel — the silent workforce contributing daily to the rhythm of urban life.

During the “Xây Tết 2026” season, Coteccons collaborated with Nhan Dan Newspaper, the Ho Chi Minh City Press Center, along with agencies, businesses, and charitable organizations to implement the program across 72 construction sites nationwide, delivering more than 30,000 Tet gift packages to workers. In Ho Chi Minh City alone, approximately 8,000 workers in and outside the construction sector received support through the program.

With the theme “Thank You to the Protectors of Happiness”, “Xây Tết 2026” selected “safety” as its core message, emphasizing that sustainable development must go hand in hand with protecting people. This also reflects Coteccons’ commitment to its ESG strategy, particularly the Social pillar, which focuses on improving quality of life, working conditions, and employee welfare.

According to Ms. Nguyễn Trình Thùy Trang, Deputy General Director of Coteccons, the principle of “No safety, no work” is not merely a slogan but has become an operational standard across all construction sites. The company continuously invests in safety processes and technologies while fostering a proactive safety culture in everyday operations.

In addition to Tet gift-giving activities, the program also organized meaningful initiatives such as health check-ups, life skills counseling, festive interactive activities at construction sites, and the continued implementation of the “Xây nền ước mơ” scholarship program for workers’ children with outstanding academic achievements. These initiatives contribute to spreading appreciation for the workforce directly creating value for society.

Meaningful care activities for workers, including health check-ups, haircuts, and festive interactive activities within the “Xây Tết” program, created a warm and connected atmosphere for workers during the Lunar New Year season

Alongside the “Xây Tết” program, Coteccons also partnered with Nhan Dan Newspaper and Vietnam Railways Corporation to launch the community initiative “Chuyến tàu hạnh phúc” (Happiness Train) — a meaningful project introduced in early 2026 to spread the spirit of sharing, strengthen community connections, and bring meaningful journeys home to people during Tet.

The “Chuyến tàu hạnh phúc” departed from Hanoi Station on the morning of February 2, 2026

Designed to create a positive start for the new year, the “Happiness Train” was not merely a means of transportation but also a unique cultural space where happiness was present throughout every journey and reunion moment. For the first time, a train carrying the image of Vietnam’s red flag with a yellow star, together with Nhan Dan Newspaper’s symbolic identity and vibrant spring-themed decorations, officially operated along the North-South railway, contributing to promoting the image of Vietnam, its people, and culture to domestic and international passengers alike.

Throughout the program, the organizing committee distributed meaningful gifts to passengers on these special train journeys while maintaining activities throughout the Tet holiday to spread the spirit of sharing and community connection. A representative of Coteccons shared that the company’s participation in the “Happiness Train” initiative stemmed from the desire to contribute to safe, meaningful, and sustainable journeys where people remain at the center of every connection.

Being honored at the 5th Nhan Dan Newspaper Innovation Day not only recognizes the effective collaboration between Coteccons and Nhan Dan Newspaper, but also reaffirms the company’s sustainable development orientation through the integration of innovation, social responsibility, and people-centered values.

In the coming time, Coteccons will continue promoting ESG initiatives and expanding community programs with long-term positive impacts, contributing to a more humane, sustainable society while spreading meaningful values to the community.
